OSCE leadership to pay official visit to Moldova
The incumbent Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Vice President of the Swiss Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis and OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on 14–15 May.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit’s agenda includes meetings with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Following the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi and Ignazio Cassis, together with Feridun Sinirlioğlu will hold a press conference. In the second part of 14 May, a high-level meeting in the “2+2” format is scheduled, with the participation of Mihai Popșoi and Ignazio Cassis as incumbent chairs of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and the OSCE, as well as the Secretaries General of the two organizations, Alain Berset and Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
On 15 May, OSCE officials will take part in the 135th ministerial meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
