
President of Czech Republic's Chamber of Deputies to visit Moldova
Chisinau, 15 October /MOLDPRES/ - President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Markéta Pekarová Adamová will pay on an official visit to Moldova on 17-19 October.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the visit’s agenda includes meetings with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. On 18 October, the two parliament speakers will hold a news conference at the parliament’s headquarters, during which the officials will make statements for mass media representatives.
In Chisinau, the president of the Czech Republic’s Chamber of Deputies will give a public lecture titled, Moldova – perspectives of European integration and the role of the young generation, for students of the Moldovan State University (USM). She will also visit one of the projects financed by the Czech Republic, as well as one of the temporary placement centres for refugees from Ukraine.
The Czech delegation will also be made up of MPs: the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Marek Ženíšek, the head of the inter-parliamentary group of friendship with Moldova, deputy head of the committee on science, education, culture, youth and sport Pavel Klima, as well as the deputy head of the Committee on European Affairs, Lucie Potůčkov.
The diplomatic relations between Moldova and the Czech Republic were established on 1 June 1992. On this period, 34 bilateral treaties and agreements have been signed, which regulate diverse activity fields: political, commercial and economic, legal, financial, transport, culture and science, social security, health and medical sciences, defence, etc.
