President of National Assembly of France to pay visit to Moldova
Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - President of the National Assembly of France Yaël Braun-Pivet will pay an official to Chisinau on 29 June - 1 July.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, this is the first visit to Moldova by a president of the French National Assembly in those 31 years since the establishment of the Moldova-France diplomatic relations.
The parliament speakers of Moldova and France, Igor Grosu and Yaël Braun-Pivet, will sign the agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation between the parliament of Moldova and the National Assembly of France. Also, President of the National Assembly of France Yaël Braun-Pivet will give a speech at a plenary meeting of the parliament, scheduled for 30 June. Subsequently, she will give a news conference jointly with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu.
The agenda of the visit to Chisinau by the Paris official will include meetings with the Moldovan leadership: President Maia Sandu, Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. Also, the President of the National Assembly of France will hold discussions with the head of the group of friendship with France, Marcela Adam, and the head of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration, Doina Gherman, as well as with civil society’s representatives.
In the end of the visit, as a token of friendship between the two states, the Moldovan parliament speaker and the President of the National Assembly of France will plant trees in the Alexandru Ciubotaru National Botanical Garden.
