Prime Minister to meet with Moldovan diaspora in Brussels

Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu will meet with Moldovan citizens in Brussels. The event will take place on November 18, when the Prime Minister will visit Brussels.

“Dear friends, we warmly welcome you to a discussion with Alexandru Munteanu, Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova. The meeting will take place on November 18, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the hall of the Saint-Gilles commune Town Hall. Address: Brussels, Pl. Maurice van Meenen 39, 1060 Saint-Gilles,” communicated the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Belgium and Luxembourg.

On November 18, Alexandru Munteanu will attend the European Union Enlargement Forum, which will take place in Brussels under the theme “By enlarging the Union, we ensure our future.” According to the agenda, the event will bring together political leaders, European officials, representatives of civil society, young people, entrepreneurs, and experts from member and candidate countries to discuss the future of the enlargement process and its role in strengthening European security.

The forum will be opened by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, through a video message, and by the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, who will deliver an opening speech.

Alexandru Munteanu will speak in the first panel – “The Geopolitical Imperative of Enlargement,” alongside Marta Kos, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, the EU High Representative, Kaja Kallas, the Commissioner for Defense, Andrius Kubilius, and Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Taras Kachka.

The panel will address the geopolitical importance of the European Union's enlargement, in the context of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine and security challenges in the Eastern Neighborhood and the Western Balkans. The Moldovan Prime Minister is expected to highlight the role of enlargement as a tool for peace, stability, and democratic resilience and to reaffirm Moldova's firm commitment to European integration.
