As many as 776 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,104 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 776 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 10 import ones. As many as 163,400 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 35 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –6, medical assistants –20 and auxiliary staff -9.
As many as 2,676 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized, of whom 254 are in extremely serious condition (46 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 3,523 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 16,071 are under supervision at home.
Another 672 people have been treated. As many as 152,552 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,515 people have died of coronavirus in all. The virus killed another two medical employees. Seventy eight medical employees have died because of coronavirus till present.
