Chisinau residents to pay more for waste disposal
Chisinau, 04 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) approved today higher tariffs for waste disposal in Moldovan capital.
According to the decision, the Chisinau’s inhabitants and the economic agents operating in the capital will pay more for the household waste disposal service.
Following the document, the tenants in the block will pay 09.25 lei a month for one person, or by 03.65 lei more than today. For the inhabitants of the individual houses the price will be 18.50 lei, by 07.30 lei more than at present.
Also, the economic agents will pay 100 lei without VAT for one cubic metre of waste and 120 lei with VAT, which is 25 lei more than before.
The Municipal authorities reasoned that tariffs should be increased by the fact that the waste would be transported farther than at present. Also, due to the increase of these tariffs, the municipal authorities will provide financial support to Tintareni village, Anenii Noi district, to restore the polygone near the locality and to compensate for the discomfort caused by the waste storage.
