Yellow Code for heavy rain in Moldova, in force for most of country on August 26
Moldova on August 26 will be affected by heavy rain, according to the Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring. The institution has issued a Yellow Code for atmospheric instability, with the warning valid throughout the day of August 26.
According to meteorologists, in most of the country, mainly in the central and northern regions, significant rainfall is expected, with accumulations of 15–49 liters of water per square meter, either as a result of prolonged rain or in short periods of time.
In isolated areas, the precipitation may be accompanied by lightning.
Meteorologists recommend that the population take weather warnings into account and exercise caution during heavy rain.
