Customs Service of Moldova launches online declaration of international postal parcels

Individuals from Moldova, starting from 24 March 2025, can declare online goods received through international postal parcels, eliminating the need to visit customs offices or use brokerage services. The new digital solution is available on the Customs Service's Public Portal (https://ecustoms.trade.gov.md/individual-person) and applies to parcels valued between 150 and 1,000 euros.

According to the Customs Service, users can fill out and submit the customs declaration electronically through the platform, with detailed instructions provided. Following data verification by customs officers and the calculation of import duties, recipients can make payments via MPay and the parcel will be delivered directly to the recipient's address.

Director of the Customs Service Alexandru Iacub emphasized the advantages of this digitalization.

"Digitalization is one of our priorities, given that it means faster, safer and more accessible services for people. Launching this new service offers more transparency and convenience, reducing the time and effort needed to declare goods received by postal shipments," said Iacub.

To facilitate the process, the Customs Service has also released an explanatory video guide, in order to help users correctly complete the customs declaration. This initiative is part of a broad programme to modernize and streamline customs procedures, contributing to the digitalization of public services and improving users’ experience.
