First Moldovan president's wife passes away
Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Georgeta Snegur, the wife of the first Moldovan president, Mircea Snegur, has died. People willing to be by the side of the Snegur family on these mournful days are expected at the Church of the Chisinau-based Central Cemetery on the Armeneasca Street on 24 December starting from 17:30.
The lawmakers of the Independence Parliament conveyed condolences to the first president of Moldova, honorary chairman of the Parlamentul-90 (Parliament-90) Public Association.
“At time of ordeal, the MPs of the Independence Parliament are with Mircea Snegur, the first president of Moldova, honorary chairman of the Parliament-90 Public Association, and express sincere condolences on the death of his wife, Georgeta Snegur. A careful and faithful wife, mother of two children, Georgeta Snegur worked all her life long in the health care sphere, being on guard and providing first aid for the health of thousands of people. Unfortunately, a merciless disease took her away from the close people,” the message reads.
People willing to say good-bye to Georgeta Snegur, are expected to come to the Church of the Central Cemetery on the Armeneasca Street from Chisinau on 24 December starting from 17:30. The Liturgy will be officiated on 25 December at 10:00, after which the burial will take place.
