
Moldovan Medical University Nicolae Testemitanu keeps position of leader in MosIUR 2024 international ranking
Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Moldova has been keeping the 901-1000 place in the international ranking The Three University Missions (MosIUR) 2024, 7th edition, for the third year in a row. At the same time, USMF is a leader among three higher education institutions from Moldova present in this ranking.
Rector Emil Ceban believes that Nicolae Testemitanu University is visible in the respective ranking due to the international accreditation both at the institutional level, according to the standards of the World Federation for Medical Education, and of the integrated study programs: Medicine, Stomatology and Pharmacy.
In the current edition of the MosIUR ranking, the number of included universities has increased from 2,200 to 2,300 compared to last year. Universities were selected from a total list of more than 2,500 higher education institutions from 165 states. The ranking evaluates, based on 16 indicators, the quality of education (45%), scientific activity (25%), the university and society (30%).
The list includes universities occupying top positions globally in academic rankings and/or leading institutions in national rankings. In some cases, the selection was made based on the number of scientific publications of the universities in the period 2018-2021.
