
Number of children infected with COVID-19 decreased
Chisinau, April 19 / MOLDPRES /- The number of children infected with COVID-19 has fallen in the last week, with 137 cases reported.
According to the Ministry of Health, between April 11-17, 957 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, less than in the 14th week, when 1,266 cases were reported.
The number of pregnant women who became infected with COVID-19 has also decreased, with four cases reported. Fewer children became infected.
The number of deaths caused by COVID-19 also decreased by about 43%, with a total of 12 cases.
During the same period, 5,801 people were vaccinated, less than 8% compared to the 14th week. At the same time, another 296,181 people went to the vaccination centers to administer the booster dose. Thus, the national coverage with a dose, in the general population, constitutes about 32%, and with complete scheme - about 31%.
