
Qualifications in higher education got in Moldova to be recognized in more countries
Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration, at a today’s meeting, approved a consultative opinion on the approval of the signing of the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education.
The Convention will facilitate the mobility globally, promoting the quality of the education and the international cooperation, through the efficient use of educational and human resources in the higher education. The document establishes general principles of recognizing qualifications, partial education and earlier learning for access to continuing the studies in the higher education and on the labour market of various countries.
At the same time, the rights and duties of people who ask for the recognition of qualifications, of the competent authorities, guaranteeing the enforcement of transparent, correct and non-discriminatory procedures, are envisaged.
The Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education was adopted in Paris on 25 November 2019. The signing of the Convention represents the first phase towards Moldova’s accession to the concerned document.
