Ramona Strugariu obtains Moldovan citizenship

The decree on Moldovan citizenship to Ramona Victoria Strugariu has been published in the Official Journal and has come into effect.

Former Member of the European Parliament Ramona Victoria Strugariu recently elected as director of the National Institute of Justice (INJ) has obtained Moldovan citizenship. The decree was signed by the head of state on February 25.

Strugariu took up the position after an interview at the Institute's Council on 14 February. Two candidates were admitted at the interview stage. The second candidate, Natalia Balaban, withdrew from the competition.

Ramona Strugariu has a law degree in Iași (Romania) and was vice-president of the European Parliament Delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee.
