Right to pension to be able to be requested by proxy in Moldova
Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - The right to pension will be able to be requested by proxy. The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family today approved a draft law on the amendment of the article 31 on the law of public pensions’ system.
Under the document, the application on retirement and the necessary acts will be submitted to the territorial body of social insurances from the place of residence by the representative nominated by proxy.
According to the authors, the need to approve the amendment proposed comes from many addressings by citizens, who because of the bad health condition, cannot personally submit the application and the necessary documents, in order to fulfill the right to pension. Numerous notifications in this respect have also come from Moldovan citizens from abroad who, given the situation emerged because of the COVID-19 pandemic, cannot return to Moldova to fulfill their right to pension.
Presently, the application on retirement and the needed acts are submitted by the person who got the right to pension to the territorial social insurances body from the place of residence.
To become law, the draft is to be discussed in parliament in two readings.
