Searches takes place in Chisinau, central Moldova district in trade secret theft file
More searches today morning took place in Chisinau and the central Ialoveni district in a criminal case targeting the illegal acquisition and use of information representing trade secrets, actions that are believed to have caused significant damage.
According to the Police, the actions were being carried out by officers of the Economic Crime Investigation Directorate of the National Investigation Inspectorate (INI), together with prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS), with the support of officers from the Fulger Special Police Brigade.
Preliminary investigation data shows that, during 2025, more individuals working at a company in Chisinau allegedly got confidential technical and commercial information illegally. This data was allegedly later transferred and used for personal gain or for the benefit of other economic agents.
Law-enforcers specify that the searches were conducted, in order to gather the necessary evidence and to establish all circumstances of the case, including identifying the persons involved and any potential damages caused.
The criminal investigation is ongoing and, according to the authorities, additional information will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
