Snow, ice national roads of Moldova; authorities recommend caution in traffic

Traffic on national roads is taking place in winter conditions, with some segments affected by black ice or covered in snow. In more regions of the country, snowfall continues. The National Roads Administration (AND) urges drivers to adjust their speed and exercise caution on the road.

During the day, the teams of the joint-stock company Drumuri (Roads) intervened on more than 35 segments in the north, center and south, prioritizing routes with heavy traffic or with a high risk of black ice. For snow removal and combating slippery conditions, 239 special vehicles were used and 177 road workers were on duty, with more than 1,103 tons of road salt and 387 tons of anti-skid material distributed.

Given the low temperatures and the risk of black ice formation, especially in the morning, drivers are urged to adjust their speed to road conditions and exercise enhanced caution.
