Speaker issues message amid severe weather conditions: Let us be cautious and remember that life comes first
Speaker Igor Grosu delivered a message at the opening of today’s legislative session in the context of difficult weather conditions. He noted that the responsible institutions are mobilized to respond to emergencies and urged citizens to be cautious.
“On 4–6 February, weather conditions are deteriorating again, with strong winds, precipitation, icy roads, which makes it difficult to move both on pavements and on public roads. All responsible institutions are promptly involved in ensuring traffic circulation, clearing roads and intervening when necessary. Even so, traffic is difficult on certain routes, and the police are regularly informing the public about possible situations and traffic suspensions,” Grosu said.
He called on pedestrians and drivers to move with great caution, to check road conditions in advance and to refrain from travelling if they do not have urgent reasons.
“Let us be cautious and remember that life comes first,” Grosu said.
The Speaker also thanked all the teams involved in dealing with the consequences of the difficult weather conditions, including road workers, doctors and police officers.
