UPDATE // Heavy traffic in Sculeni eased

At Sculeni border crossing point, traffic has been eased and activity is taking place under normal conditions. Traffic was heavy on Wednesday morning at the Sculeni border customs post, on the outbound direction from the Republic of Moldova, where queues of travelers and vehicles had formed.
According to the Customs Service, the control authorities are taking measures to ease traffic, and activity is being carried out at full capacity.
Travelers who intend to cross the border are urged, as far as possible, to choose other customs posts, such as Costești, Leova or Cahul, in order to avoid congestion in Sculeni.
The Customs Service recommends that participants in cross-border traffic show patience and understanding and announces that it will provide further information if the situation changes.
