Validity of Moldovan citizens' passports extended
Chisinau, 10 October /MOLDPRES/- Passports issued to Moldovan citizens will be valid for 10 years, and not 7 years as so far.
This became possible after the amendments to the law on identity documents of the national passport system entered into force today.
According to the new regulations, the validity period of the Moldovan passport has been extended from 7 to 10 years for applicants aged over 16 years. Also, identity card applicants will no longer submit the document certifying the blood group.
According to the Public Services Agency, Moldovan citizens may hold two valid passports simultaneously, provided that the personal data of the holder are identical.
The price for issuing the passport within 30 days is 850 lei.
