VIDEO // Moldovan authorities announce tax incentives for citizens who purchase life insurance policies
An MP of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Victoria Belous, has said that, starting from 2026, individuals who purchase a life insurance policy would be able to reduce their taxable income by the amount paid for insurance premiums, but not more than 17,400 lei.
To benefit from this tax incentive, taxpayers must have the insurance contract and documents proving the actual payment of the insurance premium. The expenses incurred will be reported in the annual income tax return, which is submitted to the tax authority.
This measure is meant to support citizens who want to ensure their financial protection, while also benefiting from a reduced tax burden. A related video message is available via the embedded Facebook link.
