Lifetime allowances for coaches of performance athletes to increase
Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- The way of calculating and recalculating the lifetime allowance for coaches of high-performance athletes has been changed. A draft amendment to the legislation was adopted by MPs today.
Thus, when determining the amount of the allowance, the data on the average monthly salary for the economy, communicated by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS) for the previous year, will be used.
From 2017, the BNS no longer produces the respective data every month, but only quarterly and annually, which prevented the provision of these allowances. Thus, the normative acts were adjusted so that the lifetime allowances could be recalculated.
Currently, the lifetime allowance is set by the Ministry of Education and Research. The payment is made monthly, and the amount depends on the performance level of the trained athletes and is from 40% to 100% of the average salary in the economy.
