
Moldova's national football team learns adversaries from qualifiers for 2026 World Cup
Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s national football team today learned its adversaries from the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, following the drawing of lots at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich. The Moldovan football teamed coached by Serghei Clescenco is member of the Group I and is to play against Germany and Italy, Norway, Israel and Latvia.
The associations members of the European forum were distributed in 12 preliminary groups; 6 groups of 5 teams each 6 groups of 4 teach each.
The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States during 11 June – 19 July. The opening match will take place on Estadio Azteca from Mexico City on 11 June 2026 and the final is established for 19 July on the MetLife Stadium from East Rutherford, New Jersey, the USA.
