Sportspeople's scholarships to Increase in Moldova in 2025
The sportspeople of Moldova will receive higher scholarships in the 2025 year. The value of these scholarships will range between 8,050 lei and 64,400 lei, depending on the sportspeople’s achievements.
In total, this year, the state will provide monthly scholarships to 175 sportspeople. The budget allocated on this purpose amounts to 45 million lei.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, financial support will be granted to sportspeople who achieved outstanding results in 2024 at the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, as well as at the World and European Championships for all age categories.
“Compared to previous years, we have a significant increase in scholarships and we believe that these raises contribute to the outstanding results our sportspeople will record in the upcoming period. The Ministry of Education and Research will continue to support sportspeople both through the programme of scholarships and through all other activities it conducts,” said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.
The budget allocated to sports federations will also increase by 30 million lei this year, reaching a total of 87 million lei.
