Community centre from central Moldova village modernized within European Village programme
Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - The community centre from the Sipoteni village, central Calarasi district, has been modernized and endowed with new equipment within the European Village Programme. The government allocated 2.6 million lei (130,000 dollars) for this.
Among the assets purchased, there are 450 theatre chairs and 37 equipment units and sound technology. This project allows organizing more cultural and artistic events at the community centre, as well as ensuring a high level of comfort for all spectators. The investment will bring benefits to those 7,000 residents of the village, including for those 466 members of artistic bands.
According to the National Office of Regional and Local Development (ONDRL), another 14 similar projects have been finished so far. The Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry is set to improve the culture infrastructure in 52 settlements.
The European Village Programme comprises 496 regional and local development projects and provides for investments of about two billion lei on the period 2022-2023. Ninety three projects have been finished till present.
