Works of construction of certain roads to be declared of public utility in Moldova

The works of construction, rehabilitation, modernization and extension of certain public roads will be declared of national interest public utility. The parliament has voted a draft law to this effect in the first reading.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, it concerns two segments of the R 34 Hancesti – Leova – Cahul – Giurgiulesti road (the Hancesti – Cantemir and Cahul – Giurgiulesti segments), as well as segments II and III of the Chisinau municipal beltway.

Additionally, several projects which are social investments will be declared of public utility. This concerns three road corridors in the north, center and south of Moldova. The regional roads G88 Cornești – Boghenii Noi – Năpădeni – M5 and G86 G88 – Dereneu – G85 have a total length of 36 kilometers and connect 20 localities. The national road G35 R14 –Țepilova – Vanțina – Căinarii Vechi; the regional road G33 R12 – Mândâc — Zgurița – Mărculești – R13; the local road L163 Trifănești – Alexandrovca – Izvoare have a total length of 37 kilometers and connect 15 localities. The roads G131 R35 – Bobeica – G132; G132 R35 – Baimaclia – Taraclia de Salcie – R32; G133 G132 – Tartaul – Gotești – R34 have a total length of 43 kilometers and connect ten localities.

Similarly, two projects representing cross-border investments will be declared of national interest public utility. This regards the access road to the Ungheni bridge, Zagarancea region, near the border with Romania. At the same time, the rehabilitation of the road section connecting the Reni customs and the Giurgiulesti customs is planned, which will be expanded to four traffic lanes. The construction of the bypass road of the Giurgiulesti village is also planned and the customs infrastructure will be rehabilitated there.

Thus, lands or constructions located within the borders of certain localities in the Hancesti, Cahul, Calarasi, Soroca, Floresti, Ialoveni, and Nisporeni districts will be expropriated. Compensation payments for expropriation and expenses for cadastral works and property evaluation will be made from the road fund.
