According to the Customs Service, the post was created in order to streamline traffic through customs posts located on the Moldovan-Romanian border.

Thus, the carriers, in order to prevent the formation of rows near the Costești post have the possibility to stop in the customs control area.

At the same time, within the customs control area, the process of facilitating and prioritizing the export of easily alterable products will be organized.

Starting with June 9, at Stânca-Costești Customs (Romanian side) the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority is active with a work schedule from 8:00 to 20:00 daily.
