Hungary sets traffic restrictions for cars heavier than 7.5 tons by late summer

Chisinau, July 27. /MOLDPRES/- The National Road Transport Agency (ANTA) announced today about traffic restrictions, applied on the territory of Hungary in July - August 2023.

"In July - August traffic restrictions are applied on the territory of Hungary for vehicles exceeding the maximum permissible total weight of 7.5 tons, on weekly rest days, Saturday - if it is a non-working day from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., on Sundays, as well as on public holidays starting from 10:00 p.m. of the previous day until 10:00 p.m. on the day of the public holiday", ANTA said.

The restrictions do not apply to the transport of categories of goods such as: live animals, fresh milk, dairy products, fresh and frozen meat and meat products, fresh bakery products, perishable foods, eggs, as well as fresh, raw, non-frozen vegetables , not dried, not processed, fruits, cereals, etc. — including between the place of loading and unloading of goods, as well as empty vehicles traveling between them.
