Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - Ludmila Catlabuga, appointed to the office of Agriculture and Food Industry Minister, was introduced to the competent ministry’s staff today.

Ludmila Catlabuga asserted herself as a leader in the agro-food industry, with almost one decade of work in the sector of breeding milk cattle.

The new minister started her professional career in the economic field, gaining experience in diverse sectors. In 2017, Catlabuga co-founded the Association of Farmers Producers. Under her leadership, the association increased from seven founding members to 130 farms members, consolidating the community of agricultural producers from Moldova.

Ludmila Catlabuga graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova (ASEM), specialized in Accounting and Audit and she continued her academic career by attending a master programme, Management in Agro-business.

The new cabinet members today were sworn in office at a ceremony in the presence of President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The head of state said she was fully confident that ‘’the new members of the government will manage to carry out important actions for the citizens.’’

PM Dorin Recean announced the changes to the governmental team on 18 November evening. The decision was set forth following more consultations. The changes come, after President Maia Sandu, back in the electoral campaign, said that, if she was reelected as Moldovan president, certain changes would be made in the governmental team till the end of this year. After the runoff presidential elections, PM Dorin Recean said that he would come up with proposals of changes in policies and in the cabinet, as ‘’the citizens who voted quite clearly said that we must make certain changes.’’
