
Russian authorities approved extension of restrictions on export of nitrogen fertilizers
Chisinau, June 14 / MOLDPRES /- Russian Federation authorities have approved the extension of restrictions on the export of nitrogen fertilizers and nitrogen-containing complexes, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) announced today.
"Thus, the quota of 8.3 million tons for nitrogen fertilizers and the quota of 5.9 million tons for complex fertilizers remained in force", MAIA said.
The restrictions will take effect from July 1 and will remain in force until the end of 2022. According to the Russian authorities, in June, Russian producers will be able to export nitrogen fertilizers and complex nitrogen-containing fertilizers without restrictions.
On 1 December 2021, the Russian Federation set export quotas for nitrogen and complex nitrogen compounds until 31 May 2022 for non-member states of the Eurasian Economic Union. Subsequently, they were extended for July 1 - December 31, 2022.
