VIDEO // Deputy PM has discussions with members of the European Business Association of Moldova

The priorities of the government and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED), in the context of European integration and support of the business environment, today were discussed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugeniu Osmochescu with the members of the European Business Association (EBA) of Moldova.

The agenda of the discussions included key topics for the business community, such as improving state aid schemes, continuing efforts to deregulate and simplify the regulatory framework, diversifying programmess of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), promoting e-commerce and digitizing economic processes, efficient land management and sustainable use.

“The main priority is adjusting the legislation of Moldova to the EU acquis. Based on this, the goals we need to achieve have been established in policy programmes, strategies, action plans, and growth plans. Another priority would be to continue with the package of facilitating the rules of the game for the business environment. We have an indicator that needs to be reached by the end of the year, in order to further facilitate the rules of the game and to make the present permissive acts more efficient,” said Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu.

According to the MDED, the meeting provided an open and constructive framework for the exchange of opinions and experiences, and EBA member companies expressed their willingness to actively contribute to the development of a competitive and predictable economic environment in Moldova.
