Moldova receives strong support from Brussels for European integration

Moldova has the full openness of European institutions to advance in the accession process and to implement the necessary reforms. Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has made statements to this effect at a meeting in Brussels with Gert Jan Koopman, Director General of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) of the European Commission.

According to the deputy PM, the discussion focused on the latest developments on the European agenda, including the progress and level of preparedness achieved by Moldova in the last year.

“We reviewed the progress and recommendations of the Commission to continue advancing on the European agenda. We have a lot of work to do, but with the full openness of the institutions in Brussels, we will succeed in implementing the necessary reforms. I thanked Mr. Koopman for the guidance, expertise and every support provided in our European journey,” emphasized Cristina Gherasimov.
