The young civil servants from 25 central public authorities today received graduation certificates for the government SPRINT programme. They participated in a string of trainings aimed at improving skills in the public administration field. At the same time, two study visits to Estonia and Sweden were organized, where participants analyzed European models of public service organization and management and formulated public policy proposals.

Present at the graduation ceremony, Deputy General Secretary of the Government, Alexandru Iacub stressed the success of the SPRINT Programme, under which twice as many civil servants were trained compared to previous editions: “The Program's goal is to enhance the attractiveness of public positions and improve the quality of public services. The State Chancellery's contribution is substantial in this respect, and we aim to continue investing each year, in order to increase the number of participants in SPRINT.”

According to the deputy general secretary of the government, the SPRINT Programme is part of the public administration reform actions, and its importance was also recognized by the European Commission. In its Country Report for Moldova, dated November 4, 2025, the European Commission highlighted SPRINT as a contribution to strengthening administrative capacity and reducing staff turnover in the public sector.

The third edition of the SPRINT programme included two groups of participants, trained in Romanian and English during March-November 2025. An innovative element this year was the involvement of 14 former SPRINT graduates and their training as trainers.

The SPRINT programme was implemented by the State Chancellery, in collaboration with the Folke Bernadotte Academy, Soros Foundation Moldova and the Estonian Center for International Development.
