Average salary on economy to be 8,716 lei in Moldova in 2021
Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The quantum of average monthly salary on the economy, forecast for 2021, will be 8,716 lei. The cabinet of ministers approved a decision to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The concerned quantum is used at establishing the ceiling of the calculation basis of the social insurances allowances and the insured monthly income of the employees of the IT parks’ residents.
The average monthly salary on the economy was calculated in line with the forecast of macroeconomic indicators for the 2021-2023 years, estimated by the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry.
Presently, the average salary on the economy is of 7,953 lei.
At the same time, the cabinet increased the minimally guaranteed quantum of the salary in the real sector of the economy from 2,775 lei to 2,935 lei per month. The government reexamines the minimally guaranteed quantum of the salary in the real sector depending on the annual summary growth of the consumer price index and the rate of increase in the labour productivity nationally.
