Moldovan parliament speaker meets Romanian prime minister
Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has discussed with Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu the projects carried out in Moldova with Romania’s support. The speaker expressed gratitude for the unconditional support provided by Romania in the efforts of modernization and rapprochement of Moldova with the European Union, the parliaments press service reported.
„Romania continues to be the strongest and the most reliable supporter of Moldova on our European integration way and this is proved day by day through deeds. Together, we build, village after village, the European Moldova,’’ Igor Grosu said.
The parliament speaker referred to the most recent projects implemented in Moldova with Romania’s support. It is about the signing of the contract on the designing and construction of the first bridge across the Prut river, Ungheni-Ungheni, which will near Moldova to the network of highways of the European Union; the delivery of 20 school mini-buses, besides those 40 ones, to schools from all over the country; allocation of over 2 million euros for the restoration of more historical buildings from Chisinau; capital renovation of the hostel No 3 of the Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu University from Cahul; social and educational projects for the only Mihai Eminescu lyceum from Comrat, where the subjects are taught in Romanian.
„These are concrete examples that, when there is a strong partnership, nice things are made, and the citizens are beneficiaries. It is impossible for us to assess the whole assistance provided through figures. Both Moldova and Romania go through an important period, but I am sure that we will together manage to edify a better world for the next generations,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
