Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Maia Sandu today introduced the new members of the cabinet of ministers to the labour collectives they are to lead. The introductions started at the Interior Ministry, the leadership of which was taken over by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nastase. The PM noted that, from now on, the law-enforcement bodies would no longer be in the service of any politician, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

New minister Vadim Branzan was introduced to the staff of the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry and Natalia Gavrilita – to the one of the Finance Ministry. Subsequently, Georgeta Mincu was introduced to the employees of the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry. In this context, the PM stressed that Moldova would benefit from foreign financing in the near future.

Minister Ala Nemerenco was introduced to the staff of the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and Liliana Nicolaescu-Onofrei – to the team of the Education, Culture and Research Ministry. Prime Minister Maia Sandu, who has earlier led the Education Ministry during three years, stressed that education was a priority sector for the government, noting that she would provide every needed support to the colleagues for its development.

The introductions ended with a meeting with the employees of the Reintegration Bureau and the new deputy prime minister in this field, Vasile Sova.

„I guarantee you, along with my colleagues from the cabinet, that the good people would be appreciated and promoted. We want to edify strong institutions, so that their seizure by certain groups of interests is no longer possible. We want all officials to observe the law and regulations of the institutions where they work, be responsible before their own duty, not to give in when receiving illegal orders from their chief,” the prime minister said at a news conference.

Also, the prime minister confirmed that, this week, she would ask the Kroll Company to submit a copy of the Kroll 2 Report on the investigation of the one-billion-dollars theft: “Those involved in the bank fraud must be identified and punished.”
