Moldovan-Croatian cooperation discussed at meeting of parliament speaker with Ambassador of Croatia
Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today had a meeting with Bucharest-based Ambassador of Croatia to Moldova Marija Kapitanović the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.
The officials identified several subjects, which would boost the parliamentary cooperation. Among them, there is the justice reform and combating corruption in the state’s institutions; ensuring the energy security; combating the fake news; fighting against COVID-19 and development of the agricultural sector.
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu expressed determination to initiate and implement the reforms necessary, in order to ensure a friendly climate to foreign investors, modernize the roads’ infrastructure, develop the rural tourism and promote the native products.
”Moldova, just as other countries, goes through more challenges; yet, the current governance, with the help of the foreign partners, does its utmost to attenuate the effects of the energy crisis and the pandemic one on the citizens,’’ Speaker Igor Grosu noted.
In the end, the officials exchanged opinions on the regional security situation, cooperation between Moldova and Croatia regionally, as well as within international organizations.
