More notarial services to be provided online
Notarial services will also be provided in digital format, becoming more accessible to citizens in the country, those abroad, and the business environment. The government has approved Concept of e-Notariat Information System, which involves the digitalization of several processes in the activity of notaries in the Republic of Moldova.
The new Information System will allow the authentication, signing, and processing of some notarial acts online, using advanced security and encryption technologies, qualified electronic signatures, and direct connections with state registers. The system will be integrated into the governmental MCloud infrastructure.
This will optimize the work of notaries who will no longer need to collect paper documents but will obtain them online from state information systems. At the same time, the digitized notarial activity will allow the signing and authentication of documents online, providing citizens and business environment with faster and more secure access to qualified notarial services.
At the same time, the online provision of notarial services will spare citizens from queues at counters and additional transportation costs, which is an advantage, especially for Moldovans abroad.
Moreover, the e-Notariat System will facilitate the activity of economic agents and attract investments by avoiding bureaucratic and administrative barriers, quickly accessing necessary data, and scheduling online notarial services.
