Moldovan PM says national economy backed through each native product bought
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today visited the national exhibition Made in Moldova – one of the most important events dedicated to promoting local producers. The event is at its 23rd edition, under the slogan, At Home. Authentic. Local, and brings together around 400 participants.
In discussions with entrepreneurs and visitors to the exhibition, the PM noted that, in recent years, the consumption of local products had been increasingly promoted and the government continuously supported the development of local businesses.
“With each local product we buy, we support the national economy, jobs at home and the development of local businesses. The support of each of us is thus transformed into greater confidence in local producers and better promotion of Moldovan products both at home and abroad,” emphasized Prime Minister Munteanu.
The exhibition is organized in two pavilions of the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre. In the Central Pavilion, there are agri-food products and collective exhibitions from the districts of the country, while in Pavilion No. 2, there are enterprises from the industrial sector, textiles, furniture and other consumer goods. At the same time, visitors can purchase beekeeping products, wines, handicrafts, sausages and fruits.
As part of the exhibition, a string of business events dedicated to the development of the local business environment are taking place: the conference, The Impact of Dual Education on Economic Units; the business forum, Made in Moldova – Internationally Competitive with B2B meetings and delegations from Romania, Lithuania, Ukraine and other countries. For the first time, this year the exhibition is connected to the global Enterprise Europe Network platform, which allows the organization of online meetings with partners from over 60 countries, facilitating the expansion of Moldovan companies into foreign markets.
The exhibition takes place from February 11-15, 2026 and can be visited between 10:00 and 18:00 on February 14 and between 10:00 and 16:00 on February 15.
