Prime Minister met with EU Representative for Transnistrian settlement
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu held a meeting with Audrone Perkauskiene, EU Representative for the Transnistrian settlement process, Deputy Director-General for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service.
The officials discussed the progress made by the Republic of Moldova in advancing its European agenda and implementing key reforms. In this context, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the constant support provided to our country, emphasizing that European assistance contributes to strengthening the resilience of the state, reinforcing security, and increasing institutional capacity to respond to current challenges.
The EU official reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to continue support for the Republic of Moldova and to mobilize well-targeted assistance in priority areas for our country, including strengthening resilience, cybersecurity, and countering hybrid risks.
The parties also discussed the importance of regional security and exchanged views on the Transnistrian settlement process, underlining the importance of continuing dialogue and mutual coordination in order to advance the process towards a final settlement.
