State Chancellery to review all consultancy contracts

The State Chancellery is to conduct an evaluation of all consultancy contracts to ensure they meet the needs of the institutions and deliver quality products. The measure was announced today by President Maia Sandu during a press conference.

The official emphasized that, in the process of European integration, additional resources and external support are needed to help institutions in their work.

“We are in a race against the clock to fulfill our European commitments. But, while focused on this intense effort, we cannot afford to lose sight of other important things. In this context, the head of state announced a “general clean-up” among those who have broken the law.

“We have a duty to bring the Republic of Moldova into the European Union. It is a path that is too important and we have made too many efforts to miss it. We must correct all mistakes, clean up the institutions – I am referring to their leadership – and restore people’s trust in our commitment to build a fair state and a free, European country,” Maia Sandu stressed.
