Better conditions for businesses in northern Moldova, at Multifunctional Industrial Park in Ocnița
Government has approved granting industrial park status to the Limited Liability Company “Multifunctional Industrial Park in Ocnița”. The initiative aims to stimulate regional economic development, attract investment and create new jobs in the north of the country.
The new industrial park will be located on a 9.56-hectare plot in the town of Ocnița and will provide conditions for several types of economic activities, including small-scale production and processing, in line with the agro-industrial profile of the area. By creating the Multifunctional Industrial Park “Ocnița”, the goal is to harness economic potential and strengthen investment infrastructure in the Northern Development Region.
The development of the platform is estimated at about 26.7 million lei and could generate up to 200 jobs. The project is part of the Growth Plan for Moldova, supported by the European Union, and is one of the four industrial platforms planned by the Government to boost the regional economy.
There are 13 industrial parks operating in the Republic of Moldova, which by the end of 2025 brought together 144 resident companies. The total number of employees reached 4,497 people, while the cumulative volume of attracted investments amounted to approximately 4.6 billion lei.
