Speaker in Basarabeasca
Speaker Igor Grosu visited several modernization projects in the localities of Basarabeasca district. They ensure the sustainable development of villages and the population's access to social infrastructure.
The projects include water supply and sewage systems, thermal insulation of buildings, production of electricity from renewable sources, modernization of kindergartens, schools, cultural houses, and stadiums in the villages of Iordanovca, Carabetovca and Sadaclia. He discussed with mayors of the three localities about the degree of project implementation, the challenges they face, as well as the work to be undertaken and which will be financed by the state or European partners through several regional and local development programs.
In the village of Iordanovca, through European Village Program, photovoltaic electric panels were installed on agricultural land, and the total value of the project is about 1 million lei.
In Carabetovca, a 33 kW photovoltaic power plant was built to supply energy to the artesian well. The project was financed through the European Village Program, with a value of about 1 million lei. Additionally, the stadium's locker room was thoroughly repaired, where athletes from neighboring villages can train or hold competitions, the value of the project being about 1.3 million lei. The village kindergarten was also modernized, the town hall building was energetically optimized, and the cultural house is the next social objective on the local authorities' priority list.
In Sadaclia, the European Village Program supported the construction of a 43 kW photovoltaic power plant, which will provide electricity to the local water pumping station. The works are expected to be completed by late August.
"The results of modernization projects are seen and experienced by the residents of Iordanovca, Carabetovca and Sadaclia villages in Basarabeasca district. More projects and investments are to develop our villages, as informed by mayors and residents. To continue the development of localities, it is important to maintain the country's European direction," Grosu said.
In the last three years, over 13 million lei have been invested in modernization projects in Basarabeasca district through the European Village and European Village Express programs. Another 22 million lei have been invested in the repair of the bridge over Cogâlnic River, which has been renovated for the first time in 50 years. Also, last year, the rehabilitation of G124 road began, connecting the localities of Ivanovca, Carabetovca, Sadaclia, Iserlia and Bogdanovca to the town of Basarabeasca. For the next year, four more major projects worth nearly 15 million lei will be carried out.
