Moldovan PM visits Hancesti District Hospital
The government will continue to invest in the healthcare system, so that each citizen, regardless of where he/she lives, has access to safe, modern and high-quality medical services. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu has made statements to this effect during discussions at the Hancesti District Hospital, where, since 2023, a primary stroke (CVA) center has been operating, essential for many residents from more districts. Over the past three years, the government, with the support of external partners, has invested more than 60 million lei in the modernization of the medical institution.
The stroke center treats patients from the districts of Hancesti, Cimislia, Basarabeasca and Leova. In 2024, the institution was equipped with a high-performance medical device for laparoscopic surgical interventions, worth over three million lei.
The Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has been renovated and equipped with modern devices. At the same time, a pathological anatomy unit was built, and the imaging department, the surgical block lobby and the fourth floor of the hospital building were repaired.
The Hancesti District Hospital has benefited from more pieces of equipment, including: a digital radiography system, an anesthesia machine, ultrasound devices, defibrillators, operating tables and lamps, lung ventilators, neonatal hearing screening equipment, a colposcope, an electric generator, an oxygen production station, a sterilization system, a type A ambulance for inter-hospital transfers, two lifts, etc.
“These investments in infrastructure and technology are complemented by the daily work of doctors, nurses, ambulance workers and all staff. We thank them for their tireless efforts and for the fact that, often in difficult conditions, they save lives,” emphasized Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.
