Enhanced safety for citizens: National Crime Prevention and Combat Program 2026–2030 approved by Government
The safety of citizens will be increased, and authorities will act more efficiently to prevent and combat crime. The government has approved the National Crime Prevention and Combat Program for 2026–2030.
The document aims to reduce crime and strengthen citizen protection through prevention measures, inter-institutional cooperation, and modernization of intervention tools.
Specifically, the Program targets six priority areas of intervention: cybercrime, organized crime, sexual offenses and property crimes, offenses against life and health, as well as economic and financial crime.
Additionally, protection mechanisms for children and women against abuse will be strengthened, and cooperation with the European Union will be expanded to combat cross-border crime.
By implementing this project, the government aims to significantly reduce the number of crimes and increase citizen trust in state institutions.
