Foreign Affairs Ministry says no casualties reported among Moldovan citizens in Israel, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Turkey
The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Moldova announces that, according to information provided by its diplomatic missions, no casualties or injured persons have been reported among Moldovan citizens in Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey following the recently reported security incidents.
The authorities have verified the situation together with local partners, and the diplomatic missions of Moldova continue to constantly monitor regional developments.
Following the security incident in Qatar on February 28, which targeted military facilities, including the Al-Udeid air base, the Qatari authorities confirmed that the situation was under control. The country’s airspace remains closed and the population is urged to follow official recommendations and avoid non-essential travel.
Local authorities are monitoring the situation and may announce additional security measures. The diplomatic mission of Moldova continues to verify any potential impact on citizens in the area.
The security situation in the region remains unstable and may evolve rapidly, with the risk of regional tensions and travel restrictions. Citizens are advised to avoid non-essential travel to affected areas, to constantly check the status of their flights, and to follow the instructions of local authorities.
The Moldovan Foreign Affairs Ministry has reiterated its call for calm, vigilance, and reliance on official information sources, noting that the Crisis Cell continues to closely monitor security developments in the region, in coordination with the diplomatic missions of Moldova.
