Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine Victor Chirilă presented letters of credence on Tuesday to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during an official ceremony held at Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv.

According to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kyiv, during the discussions with the President of Ukraine, the importance of bilateral relations, based on cooperation, solidarity and common goals, was reconfirmed.

The priorities of the diplomatic mandate were also highlighted, including strengthening the bilateral political dialogue and inter-institutional communication, deepening economic cooperation, as well as intensifying coordination in order to counter regional challenges.

The Ukrainian side reiterated openness to developing bilateral relations and close cooperation in support of regional stability and the European path of both states.

Victor Chirilă was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine in early February 2026.
