Moldova's foreign affairs minister to visit Lithuania: meetings' agenda

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi will pay a working visit to Lithuania on September 4. During the visit, the official will meet his Lithuanian counterpart, Kęstutis Budrys, followed by a joint press conference scheduled for 12:25.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), the deputy prime minister will meet Speaker of the Seimas Juozas Olekas, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Remigijus Motuzas, Chair of the Committee on National Security and Defence Rimantas Sinkevičius, as well as the chief foreign policy adviser to the President of Lithuania, Asta Skaisgirytė.

The discussions will focus on the priorities of the Moldovan-Lithuanian cooperation, developments on Moldova’s European agenda, leveraging economic and investment partnerships, as well as cooperation in the field of regional security.

Mihai Popsoi will also participate as a speaker in the discussion panel titled, The European Path of Moldova and the Country’s Foreign and Security Policy Priorities, organized by the Vilnius-based Geopolitics and Security Studies Center.
