Moldovan PM says each day of Ukrainian nation's resistance preserves peace in Moldova's homes

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova is with Ukraine and with the fight it wages for its territorial integrity, for the democratic values and peace in Europe. Each day of resistance of the Ukrainian people preserves peace in our homes and reminds us how precious the freedom is. Prime Minister Dorin Recean has made statements to this effect, in the context of the 1,000 days since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, marked today.

„One thousand days have passed since Russia brutally invaded Ukraine. One thousand days of suffering for our friends and neighbours, as well as one thousand days of firm courage. The Ukrainians are a nation which refuses to be defeated, which defends its land and freedom,’’ Dorin Recean wrote.

The large-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine has reached its 1,000th day today. Thus, the devastating human and material losses continue to increase. Till 31 August 2024, the UN Mission for monitoring the human rights in Ukraine documented at least 11,743 civilians killed and 24,614 wounded since the beginning of the invasion.
