Moldovan president condemns attack on Kyiv
President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu firmly condemned the missile attacks launched by the Russian Federation last night on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. As a result of the bombings, at least nine people lost their lives, and over 70 were injured.
In a message posted on a platform, the head of state said that the Republic of Moldova condemns this act of terror, which targeted innocent civilians.
“While the world hopes for a ceasefire, Russia shows again that it does not seek peace, but only death and destruction. The latest missile attack on Kyiv killed and injured civilians. Moldova condemns this terror,” the president said.
Maia Sandu appealed to the international community to boost the support for Ukraine, emphasizing the need to strengthen the neighboring country's air defense.
“Ukraine needs more support, more air defense. Only force can stop this war,” Sandu said.
At least nine people were killed last night and over 70 injured, including children, in a Russian missile attack on the capital of Ukraine.
The last missile attack on Kyiv took place in early April.
