State of Emergency in Israel; Ambassador of Moldova to Israel urges citizens to stay near shelters
Ambassador of Moldova to the State of Israel Alexandr Roitman has issued an official message to Moldovan citizens in Israel, in the context of the worsening of the security situation.
According to the diplomat, today, 28 February 2026, starting at 08:00, an immediate state of emergency was declared throughout the entire territory of Israel, in connection with the military operations against Iran.
"All non-essential activities are prohibited and institutions will not be operational. The airspace is closed, including the Ben Gurion International Airport," the ambassador specified.
The diplomatic mission recommends that Moldovan citizens remain in the immediate vicinity of bomb shelters and strictly follow the instructions of the Home Front Command.
The instructions are valid as of February 28, 2026, 08:00, till March 2, 2026, 20:00, with the note that they may be updated depending on the evolution of the security situation.
The Embassy announces that further communications will follow and urges citizens to monitor updated official information.
